Pressure Equalizing Vented Snap-On Caps Attach to 30 and 40 mm Size 1500 Series Sample Cups
Vented Snap-On Caps are configured to function with the 1500 Series XRF Sample Cups. During the attachment procedure, a series of physical barriers is created that serve to increase the difficulty often associated with the abrupt displacement of sample particles attributed to the initial vacuum surge. The four slits serve as the venting passages. The four slits serve the same function under the positive pressure of helium introduction in maintaining a taut sample plane-to-excitation source distance. Snap-On Caps additionally serve as effective closures for sample containment under atmospheric pressure in readiness for subsequent re-applications.
