Automatic 30 Ton XRF Briquetting Press with Interchangeable Dies
Accommodates, self-centers and aligns optionally available 32, 35, 40 and 47 mm dies with specially designed feature integrated in the ram platform. Spindle with large knurled knob conveniently adapts to any die plunger height for handling larger sample volumes. Lighted interior chamber is standard on all 115 volt models.
Simple two momentary button operation controls briquetting, decompression and sample pellet ejection. Depress “Up” button for briquetting; “Down” button for decompressing. For dwell applications, remove applied pressure to the “Up” button switch once the desired force is attained before depressing “Down” button for decompression in readiness for pellet removal. Amazing fast ram travel speed expedites briquetting samples for XRF analysis.
Analog gauge indicates force in one ton increments, up to 30 tons, and pressure, in 50 PSI increments, up to 3000 PSI. Small compact design for counter top operation, 210 in2 (1369 cm2).

Automatic 30 Ton Force Spectropress® with Integrated Die
Functionality, simplicity, ease and speed of operation are the key descriptive terms responsible for forming XRF sample pellets with this automatic 30 ton force press.
Two momentary buttons control the briquetting operation. The “Up” button is for briquette formation and pellet ejection. Use the momentary feature to stop the briquetting operation at a selected force and to implement dwell. The analog gauge is calibrated in force from 0 to 30 tons, in 1 ton increments, and 0 to 3000 psi, in 50 psi increments. The “Down” button is used to lower the powdered sample into the die in readiness for the next sampling.
Removal of the integrated die to eject the formed pellet is unnecessary with the application of a uniquely designed swing-away anvil and die cap. Precision manufactured dies have close tolerances to accept tapered compressible aluminum PelletCups® with the least space between the bore and sample cup diameters. Minimizes sample particle entrapment, maintains cleanliness and cross contamination possibilities. Choose from 32, 35 and 40 mm diameter dies.
For better visibility, the working chamber is backlit with fluorescence lighting only available with 115 VAC/60 Hz installations.
